Murphy Seeks Relief for Southwestern PA

Today Congressman Murphy (PA-18) sent a letter to the President requesting his intervention following the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) decision to deny aid to local residents affected by severe storms and flooding that occurred on June 17. In the denial letter addressed to Governor Ed Rendell, no specific explanation as to why the damage incurred throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania did not warrant federal aid was offered. Seeking answers and sufficient relief for local businesses and residents, Congressman Murphy sent the below letter
