DIRECTOR'S ORDER NO. 137

Subject: Delegation of Authority - Actual Subsistence Expenses

Sec. 1 What is the purpose of this Order? This Order delegates authority to approve requests for actual subsistence.

Sec. 2 Does this Order amend other directives? This Order amends paragraph 15.4B(1), 033 FW 15 , and paragraph 5.9, 265 FW 5 .

Sec. 3 What authority is delegated? Regional Directors, Assistant Directors, Assistant Regional Directors, Washington and Regional Office division chiefs, and project leaders may approve payment of actual subsistence expenses up to150 percent of the maximum allowable per diem rate. The Regional Director or the Assistant Director - Business Management and Operations must approve actual subsistence expenses over 150 percent of the maximum allowable rate. You may not redelegate this authority. The justification requirements in paragraph 5.9, 265 FW 5 , remain unchanged.

Sec. 4 When is this Order effective? This Order is effective immediately.

Sec. 5 When does this Order expire? This Order will expire on September 30, 2002, unless amended, superseded, or revoked. We will include the contents of this Order in the Fish and Wildlife Service Manual (033 FW 15 and 265 FW 5).
