ATTORNEY GENERAL JANET RENO PRESENTS AWARDS


TO JUSTICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES FROM AROUND THE U.S.


 
OKLAHOMA INVESTIGATORS, PROSECUTORS RECEIVE TOP AWARD


 
	WASHINGTON, D.C.    Attorney General Janet Reno will present awards to
163 Justice Department (DOJ) employees and 13 others at this year's Annual
Attorney General Awards Ceremony to be held on Wednesday, July 8, 1998.  The
Department's top award, the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service,
will be presented to members of the Oklahoma investigation and prosecution team.
	Awards will be presented to Department agents, investigators, prosecutors,
marshals, administrators and other law enforcement officials from across the
country, including, but not limited to:  Lompoc, California; Portland, Oregon; St.
Petersburg, Florida; Arizona; Oklahoma; New York; New Hampshire and DOJ
Headquarters in Washington, D.C. 

The event is open to the media.

DATE: Wednesday, July 8, 1998

TIME: 2:00 p.m. (Cameras can set up at noon)

	LOCATION: Constitution Hall

18th Street, N.W. between C and D Streets

 
 
	PLEASE NOTE:  Reporters or photographers who intend to cover this event
