The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America signed a partnership agreement to establish the Electronic Library of Ukraine (ELibUkr) on Monday, January 26 at the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy Library.

U.S. Ambassador in Ukraine, William B. Taylor joined Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kucherenko at presentation and press-conference dedicated to the launch of USAID’s three-year Municipal Heating Reform Project (MHR) in Ukraine.

Ivan Omelyan began to develop an interest in politics after joining the youth branch of a Ukrainian political party in 2005. After two years of working as a volunteer, the senior party members recognized that Ivan had potential and recommended that he apply to the Young Political Leadership School in Kharkiv to further his knowledge of successful political activism.

USAID Insight is a monthly newsletter that focuses on on specific development issues. The Parliamentary and Central Executive Agencies Youth Internship Program is one of the most successful examples of cooperation between the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada. It promotes a regeneration of human resources at public agencies, raises the level of political and legal culture of the youth, and opens unique career opportunities for young Ukrainians in politics and civil society.
