Space Shuttle Atlantis is now scheduled to roll out to Launch Pad 39A Saturday at about 7 a.m. This schedule change is not expected to impact the target launch date. Managers had to adjust the VAB processing schedule to accommodate Atlantis' delayed rollover from the OPF and a minor delay with Shuttle umbilical connections.

Today, workers will remove main engine No. 1 and the replacement engine will be installed tomorrow. Once at the launch pad, the main engine heat shields will be installed and engine No. 1 leak checks will follow. At about midnight last night, the SPACEHAB payload began its move to the launch pad. The payload arrived at about 4 a.m. and will be transferred to the payload changeout room later today.
