Training and Employment Report of the Secretary (RFP-DCS-02-24) The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), is soliciting proposals to select a contractor for the preparation of the annual Training and Employment Report of the Secretary of Labor. Motion Picture Video License (RFP-DCS-02-16) Job Corps is seeking a means of expanding entertainment and recreational opportunities for its students, which will impact positively the use of videocassettes of motion pictures on Job Corps centers, provide coverage for approximately 36,000 students, and assure compliance with existing laws. It also seeks to establish an agreement for the Department of Labor's Job Corps program to be permitted to "Publicly Perform" as that term is used in section 101 and 106 of Title 17, United States Code, copyrighted Motion Pictures which are pre-recorded on video cassettes and video discs which are otherwise by law for home use only on Job Corps center nationwide.
Evaluation of the WIA Performance Measurement System (RFP-DCS-02-20) The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOLETA) is soliciting proposals to conduct an evaluation of the effectiveness of the performance measurement system. The study will assess the effectiveness of the current system as it relates to continuous improvement in workforce investment activities and identify alternative measures that might more effectively accomplish the aims of the performance measurement system.
Technical Assistance For the Youth Opportunity Grants (RFP-DCS-02-13) The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration is soliciting proposals for the provision of continuing technical assistance in year three (3) of the program to the 36 Youth Opportunity Grants awarded to cities, rural areas, and Indian Reservations in February of 2000 under Section 169 of the Workforce Investment ACT (WIA) of 1998. Technical Assistance to O*NET (RFP-DCS-02-07) The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals for the provision of technical assistance for the continued technical advancement and enrichment of the Occupational Information Network (O*NET). The main goals of the O*NET project are: 1) to fully replace the use of the increasingly outdated Dictionary of Occupational Titles(DOT) with the O*NET classification and computerized electronic database of occupational information; and 2) to establish the O*NET system throughout the United States as a viable, operational tool linking our education, training, and employment communities together through the use of the O*NET common occupational language.
