Guidelines for Reproducing or Using Material Found on the NNI Web Site

Unless otherwise noted, the contents of www.nano.gov are in the public domain and may be republished, reprinted, and otherwise used freely. Crediting the National Nanotechnology Initiative/National Nanotechnology Coordination Office is appreciated. Where nano.gov uses copyrighted material, it will be identified along with the copyright holder.

The NNI 's policy is to use externally produced material (graphics, text, etc.) on our web site only with permission of the copyright holder. If you believe material to which you have rights has been improperly included, please contact NNCO. (web@nnco.nano.gov).

Reproducing Graphics

With the exception of NNI logos, permission to use graphics is granted on a case-by-case basis. Some are public domain, some are created by contractors, and some are used by www.nano.gov with specific permission granted by the owner. With the exception of NNI logos, graphics from www.nano.gov should not be reused without permission. Please contact NNCO for further information, including both the graphic and the web page on which it appears.

Identifiable People in Images

If an image on www.nano.gov includes an identifiable person, using the image may infringe that person's right of privacy or publicity, and permission should be obtained from the person.
