Science.gov cited as "Great .Gov Website"

Science.gov has been cited by Government Computer News as a government website "meeting and exceeding" the Administration's transparency goals. The special report, Great .Gov Websites, was published July 27 and noted that Science.gov is one of "10 sites that take government to the next level." The report stated that Science.gov "breaks down stovepipes of research" and "represents a considerable coordination effort among numerous federal agencies … ." Government Computer News wrote a follow-up editorial, Government Web sites worthy of respect, stating how quickly sites such as Science.gov are "bringing vast reserves of government data to users – data that would have been nearly impossible to find even a year ago." Science.gov is a gateway to government science information and research results from 14 federal agencies.
