Electric Car Charging Station Opens in DC. Mayor Fenty announced the installation of GreenlightAC’s first electric vehicle charging station in the District. The charging station, located in the Vorando Parking garage at 2101 L Street, NW, will provide electric car owners a place to recharge their cars during the day.

Ben Ali In Front of Ben's Chili Bowl DC Remembers Ben Ali
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the founder and namesake of Ben’s Chili Bowl, one of the greatest treasures in the District of Columbia. Ben Ali was a man who invested his life in a small business that weathered many storms and became the soul of a neighborhood and the pride of our city. Though we mourn the loss of Mr. Ali, we are grateful that his legacy will live on in our hearts. New Career Transition Center at Walter Reed New Career Transition Center at Walter Reed
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty joined District Department of Employment Services (DOES) Director Joseph Walsh to celebrate the opening of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Career Transition Center. The center will provide career counseling, job search assistance and training opportunities to federal employees affected by the federal Base Realignment and Closure Initiative. Read More
