Submit Electronic FOIA Request
Before you submit a FOIA request, please look through the
materials already available on our web site, such as our Buying From,
Selling To FDIC page to see information about the sale of
assets from failed financial institutions. If you are looking
for information about open operating financial institutions, such as whether
they are insured, or what financial information they have
recently submitted, try looking at the Institution
Directory and Reports of
Condition & Income and Thrift Financial Report. You
can also see a list of the broad variety of documents already
publicly available from the FDIC
Public Information Center website.
If after checking all these you are unable to find the
information you seek, you can use the form below to submit a
FOIA request to the FDIC. If at all possible, please be sure
to fill in the blocks for financial institution name and location because most
FDIC files are organized by the name of the regulated
financial institution.
Also, be sure to look at our fee
schedule if you have any questions about the costs
associated with your request. Our regulation requires that
you state at the time you make your request the maximum
amount you are willing to pay.
