Eighth AGOA Forum

The eighth AGOA Forum (African Growth and Opportunity Act) was held in Nairobi, Kenya , August 4-6, 2009. The theme of this year’s Forum was “Realizing the Full Potential of AGOA through Expansion of Trade and Investment.” The Forum focused on a number of crucial trade and economic issues, including but not limited to how countries can take full advantage of the range of export opportunities that AGOA offers. The Ministerial discussions were held on August 5-6, and the private sector and civil society groups held related events on August 4.

The Office of Travel & Tourism Industries (OTTI) functions as the U.S. federal tourism office. A core responsibility is to collect, analyze and disseminate international travel and tourism statisics for the U.S. Travel and Tourism Statisitcal System.
