March 29, 1999: Statutory Bar to Appointment of Persons Who Fail to Register Under Selective Service Law; Proposed Regulations

The Office of Personnel Management is issuing proposed regulations to delegate authority to executive agencies to determine whether a man's failure to register with the Selective Service System was knowing and willful. This will permit faster decisions for job seekers as well as applicants, and reduce paperwork. March 1, 1999: Prevailing Rate Systems; Changes to Nonappropriated Fund Wage Areas

The Office of Personnel Management published three final rules changing nonappropriated fund Federal Wage System wage areas:

  • Abolishes the Marion, Indiana, nonappropriated fund Federal Wage System wage area and redefines its six counties as areas of application to nearby nonappropriated fund wage areas for pay-setting purposes.   [Federal Register Regulation: PDF or text]
