The Manufacturing and Services (MAS) unit of the International Trade Administration was created in 2004, to address Congressional and industry concerns about U.S. competitiveness in the global economy. This publication provides an overview of the workings of this organization, including details about recent policy initiatives, data products, industry studies, and public-private dialogues that show how MAS is actively working to help U.S. manufacturing and service industries thrive in the world marketplace. An appendix provides contact information for each of the 13 operating offices within the organization.
