Mission
FRESC provides scientific understanding and the technology needed to support sound management and conservation of our nation's natural resources, with emphasis on western ecosystems. More about FRESC's mission.

Vision
FRESC will maintain and enhance its reputation for developing science-based monitoring systems and conducting world-class research that benefit the management of forest, arid, and semi-arid ecosystems.

Director's Message
FRESC combines research scientists and support staff originating from the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. More about the Director's Message.

History
FRESC, as an organizational unit of the Federal Government is fairly young, but the various groups that merged to form FRESC have lengthy histories, some dating back 30 years. More on FRESC's history.
