SeniorCare Extension Granted

SeniorCare, an affordable alternative to Medicare Part D, has provided affordable, comprehensive prescription drug coverage to thousands of Wisconsin seniors since 2002. President Obama and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius officially granted an extension of the program through 2012. SeniorCare had been scheduled to end on December 31, 2009.

First Birds Test Positive for West Nile Virus

Two birds have tested positive for West Nile virus in Wisconsin, which serves as a reminder that people should be more vigilant in protecting themselves against mosquito bites.

Medicaid Managed Care Service Delivery

The Department is soliciting comments and suggestions regarding the proposal to restructure the Medicaid managed care delivery system in southeast Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties.  Please take a few moments to complete our online survey and provide feedback, including what works well and what might be improved, in the delivery of managed health care services to the BadgerCare Plus population. The survey will be available until September 11, 2009.
