New Horizons in Exporting U.S. Services
They aren't made of metal and they don't require elaborate packaging, but U.S. services are just as valuable to international buyers as the tangible goods that we usually associate with the word "export." And Ex-Im Bank is just as capable--and interested--in helping finance exports of U.S. services. Ex-Im Bank Director Bijan Kian will lead an interactive discussion on ways to increase exporting opportunities for U.S. based services. Director Kian will be joined by Ms. Ana Guevara, Commerce Deputy Assistant Secretary for Services and other senior representatives from the Foreign Commercial Service, as well as U.S. companies with specific experience in exporting service-related products. World Bank Seminars
Interested in bidding for more than $28 billion projects tendered by the World Bank every year? These seminars will let you know how! April 19 in Arlington, VA. The U.S. Department of Commerce/Northern Virginia U.S. Export Assistance Center and the World Bank Group have organized a training seminar on bidding for major World Bank projects. This comprehensive full-day seminar led by senior World Bank procurement specialists, will provide you with everything you need to know to understand and navigate the tender process.  The World Bank offers 40,000 contracts a year.

Ex-Im Bank is focused on helping small businesses and here are some new offerings:

United States Department of Commerce Trade Mission to India and China
The increase in demand for clean energy goods and services over the next ten years in both India and China presents tremendous opportunities for U.S. companies involved in the export of clean-energy technologies. With this in mind, the United States Department of Commerce has organized a trade mission to India and China. Participating U.S. companies will have the chance to meet with businesses and government leaders involved in the clean-technology sector. Dates are: Chennai and New Delhi, April 18–20, 2007; and Beijing and Nanjing, April 23–25, 2007. US-India Aviation Partnership Summit -- April 23-25, 2007, New Delhi, India
The U.S. Trade Development Agency and the Federal Aviation Agency are jointly sponsoring the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Summit, a two-and-one-half-day conference to be held in New Delhi from April 23-25, 2007. This conference will provide a forum both for high-level U.S.-India policy dialogue and for the presentation of near-term infrastructure development projects, with the objective of enhancing the long-term strategic and commercial relationship between the Indian and U.S. aviation industries. The summit will consist of roughly 200 attendees, including senior U.S. and Indian government officials, high-level Indian aviation officials and industry leaders, and representatives from the U.S. aviation industry.
