The Table Mountain Winter Play Area is specifically designed for snow tubing. The parking area also allows access to snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails. Adjacent to the snow hill there is a restroom and an area you can build a warming fire. (Bring your own wood). For safety reasons no metal runner sleds, skis, or snowboards are allowed. The Bureau of Land Management designed this Winter Play Area for your enjoyment and to be as safe as possible. Unfortunately there are some dangers in snow tubing. Stay in control, and know your limits. Plowing of Table Mountain Road is done periodically in response to snowfall, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended, call 541-618-2200 for more information. Use of this area is at your own risk!

Directions:

From Interstate 5, take exit 14 in Ashland. Turn on Route 66 toward Klamath Falls. Follow Route 66 for 17 miles until you reach the Green Springs Inn. Turn left onto the Hyatt Lake Road. Follow this road for four miles, until you reach the Hyatt Lake Recreation area, stay left and continue on for another two miles until you see the sign on the left directing you to the Winter Play area. Turn left and follow this road which dead-ends at the area.
