ATIS Standards Work and XML - The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) standards committee has begun work on developing an eXtensible Markup Language (XML) vocabulary for traveler information exchange. This work will build on the existing data dictionary (SAE J2353), message sets (SAE J2354 and J2369) and other related standards work and should be of interest to any public or private sector organization exchanging traveler information.

Trip Planner Prototype from Noblis - The Trip Planner Prototype is a demonstration developed to help travelers decide how much time to budget for road trips they routinely do not make or are not familiar with. The Trip Planner provides the average travel time for the selected trip and travel times at worse traffic conditions. [Note: This Trip Planner only works with Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 6.0 or greater, available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/.]
