Klum Landing Campground Improvement Project
Environmental Assessment and FONSI

rule

Overview

The Bureau of Reclamation has completed a Finding of No Significant Impact and final Environmental Assessment for the proposed Klum Landing Campground Improvement Project at Howard Prairie Reservoir located about 15 miles east of Ashland, Ore.

The final EA evaluates a proposed alternative and a no action alternative for the campground in cooperation with Jackson County Parks. The preferred alternative includes campground improvements such as widening and realigning the roadway; modernizing campsites with paved parking spaces; providing water and electricity hookups at some of the sites; and upgrading facilities and additional campsites that are accessible to people with disabilities. With the FONSI, Reclamation has determined that implementation of the preferred alternative will have no significant impact on the environment.
