The FIMS technical documentation consists of the User's Guide and Reporting Guide. The User's Guide contains all procedural instruction that you will need to effectively navigate within the system and includes a comprehensive data element dictionary. The document also discusses electronic uploads and downloads of FIMS data, standard report generation, framework for managing and administering FIMS, and lookup table codes and descriptions. For your convenience, the data element dictionary is available separately below. The Reporting Guide contains samples of all standard reports and provides step by step instruction for setting up custom reports. In addition, the document provides a listing of all FIMS tables and their associated data elements. This is especially useful when creating ad-hoc queries using Microsoft Access or setting up an electronic upload of data into the FIMS database.
