Coordinates the DoD review of direct commercial sales export licenses and commodity jurisdiction requests received from the Departments of Commerce and State, approximately 30,000 cases annually. Develops and adjudicates the final DoD position based on input provided by DoD departments and agencies and recommends final action by the licensing Departments consistent with U.S. national security and DoD's technology security objectives. Coordinates changes proposed to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulation (EAR); develops the final DoD position and provides to the appropriate Department. Represents the DoD in interagency fora responsible for compliance with multinational export control regimes.
