ENERGY STAR Qualified Products and Other Energy Efficient Products

GSA has partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) to offer the federal community a broad range of energy efficient products.
The GSA inventory of energy efficient products includes:
An Environmental Specialty Category has been added to GSAAdvantage!® online shopping experience. GSA customers now have direct access to our variety of products offerings that contain environmental attributes, including energy efficient products.
GSA highlights energy efficient products in GSAAdvantage!® by placing the following product designation next to relevant items: The EPA/DOE ENERGY STAR label, the EPEAT registered symbol, or the FEMP symbol. These designations signify that those products meet or exceed the energy efficient criteria for federal government purchasing.
GSA receives electronic feeds from the EPA and the Federal Electronics Council to ensure accuracy of the ENERGY STAR and EPEAT symbols. Schedule vendors determine which products display the FEMP symbol. Customers should contact the Schedule vendor to confirm the accuracy of FEMP designation before placing an order, if necessary.
When customers buy these products from GSA, they are meeting federal requirements to purchase energy efficient products as established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, FAR Subpart 23.2, Executive Order 13423, and Executive Order 13221.
