Yes. Individuals who are first generation college graduates and/or from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are eligible to apply. 4. How do I determine if I am from an economically disadvantaged background? Only U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence who possesses an Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-151 or I-551), or some other verification of legal admission as a permanent resident prior to the time of award, are eligible for these training awards. Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible. 5. If I possess an Alien Registration Receipt Card am I eligible to apply? Yes. Individuals must be citizens, non-citizen nationals of the United States or individuals who have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence (i.e., in possession of an Alien Registration Receipt Card). |
