Integrated Licensing Process (ILP)
On July 23, 2003 Commission approved the Integrated Licensing Process (ILP), as one of the Commission's three hydropower licensing processes. On July 23, 2005, ILP became the default licensing process. Commission approval is now needed to use the other licensing processes (Traditional and Alternative).

When the Commission adopted the Integrated Licensing Process (ILP), it committed to studying the effectiveness of the ILP in achieving reductions in processing time and cost. During the spring and summer of 2005, Commission staff began that effort. Please visit our ILP Effectiveness Evaluation section to read more on these efforts.

For more information please visit our Integrated Licensing Process section under General Information.
