Ajit Pai, Deputy General Counsel
Ajit Pai is Deputy General Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission.
Ajit Pai most recently served as Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution. He previously served as Senior Counsel at the Office of Legal Policy at the U.S. Department of Justice; as Deputy Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts; as Associate General Counsel at Verizon Communications Inc.; as an Honors Program trial attorney in the Telecommunications Task Force at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division; and as a law clerk to Judge Martin L.C. Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Mr. Pai graduated with honors from Harvard College and from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was an editor of the University of Chicago Law Review.
