Natural Resource Management Reference Manual #77
This Natural Resource Management Reference Manual #77 offers comprehensive guidance to National Park Service employees responsible for managing, conserving, and protecting the natural resources found in National Park System units. This Reference Manual serves as the primary Level 3 guidance on natural resource management in units of the National Park System, replacing NPS-77, The Natural Resource Management Guideline, issued in 1991 under the previous NPS guideline series.
NOTE: The transition of NPS-77 into Reference Manual #77 is in progress. Some sections are still being revised while others have undergone a field review with comments from the field incorporated as applicable. The later are considered in final form and are linked to from this page. However, it should be noted that the review of legal authorities has not yet been undertaken. In addition, as other level 3 guidance throughout the Service is finalized references to other National Park Service guidance may change.NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
