The USGS is monitoring current flood and high-flow conditions in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Teams of USGS hydrographers have been in the field working at streamflow-gaging stations to keep station instruments operating and to verify streamflow data needed for National Weather Service (NWS) flood forecasts. USGS personnel are working closely with Federal, State, and local agencies to provide flood information for emergency managers, the media, and the public. The following information highlights USGS activities related to the current conditions.
