Deployment: Operation Bright Star
Since 1981, except 2003, U.S. Armed Forces have participated in a bi-annual, coalition-building exercise in Egypt with more than 70,000 Service members from more than 10 countries. This exercise is designed to improve readiness and interoperability among U.S., Egyptian, and other participating forces. Up to 20,000 U.S. Service members participate in each exercise.
