NOTE: Post-landing inspections reveal Columbia to be in good shape. Because the orbiter's power reactant storage distribution system had to be vented before entering OPF bay 1, Columbia did not arrive in the facility until 2:40 a.m.
Draining of the orbiter's cryogenics is scheduled for tonight and removal of fuel cell No. 2 is slated for this weekend. The problem fuel cell will then be shipped to the vendor for inspection.
At Hangar AF, preparations are underway to ship the STS-83 booster nozzles on Friday.
NOTE: Work to replace fuel cell No. 3 is complete and leak checks are in work. Technicians will retest the fuel cell later today. Installation of the actuator for Hatch D, which leads from the tunnel adapter to the Spacehab module, is in work today. Payload bay door closure is scheduled for Friday and preparations to move Atlantis into the VAB are underway. External tank and solid rocket booster close-out activities continue in preparation to be mated to Atlantis next week.
STS-84 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Testing of Discovery's power reactant storage and distribution system continues today and auxiliary power unit leak and functional testing is complete. Mission events controller No. 2 will be replaced next week. The forward reaction control system is scheduled for delivery to OPF bay 2 on Thursday and installation should take place early next week.
STS-85 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE ON ENDEAVOUR: Endeavour arrived in the VAB at 3:14 p.m. yesterday. No work is planned for Endeavour while in the VAB and managers plan to move the orbiter to OPF bay 3 on April 17.
