Drug Enforcement Administration

NTIS is the authorized official distributor of the DEA CSA database on the Web.

NOTICE:  The DEA Record Layout has been revised.  The revised Record Layout includes: (1) Five new Business Categories and Sub-Codes, and (2) The “Retired Date” column has been updated to reflect new dates as a result of the change in DEA policy that used to allow registrants up to 7 months after the expiration date to renew and still retain their original DEA number.  Effective April 1, 2009 this policy was changed to 30 days.

 

The products advertised on this Web site contain the complete authorized DEA database of persons and organizations certified to handle controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act. DEA authorizes the use of this database, and the inclusion of any individual or organization in the database, as proof of that entity's registration with the DEA.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), as part of its efforts to control the abuse and misuse of controlled substances and chemicals used in producing some over-the-counter drugs, maintains databases of individuals registered to handle these substances.

These databases are available from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) as weekly, monthly or quarterly subscriptions.

The CSA Online Database is now available Weekly and for limited searches of 1, 5, or 10 queries.
