Congressman Geoff Davis : Serving Kentucky's Fourth District

Biography

Congressman Geoff Davis represents Kentucky’s Fourth District. The twenty-four county district in Northern Kentucky borders West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.

  Congressman Davis serves on the House Ways and
  Means Committee with assignments to the
  Subcommittees on Select Revenue Measures and Trade. 
  He is also Co-Chairman of the National Security
  Interagency Reform Working Group and holds a
  leadership role within the Republican Conference as a
  Deputy Whip.

Congressman Davis attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., where he studied national security and international affairs. Upon graduation, he served as an Assault Helicopter Flight Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division and later ran U.S. Army aviation operations for peace enforcement between Israel and Egypt. Congressman Davis is a former Army Ranger and Senior Parachutist.

In 1992, Congressman Davis started his own consulting firm specializing in lean manufacturing. His role as a
small businessman has assisted him
in Congress as he works to support policies that will promote economic growth and keep American
businesses competitive.

Congressman Davis has sponsored several important legislative initiatives, including: the HEARTH Act to improve care for homeless children and families; increasing Hardship Duty Pay for service members; and equalizing disability retirement pay for military personnel who are wounded in action.

Congressman Davis’ service in Congress has been commended by the National Association of Manufacturers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business, Americans for Tax Reform and the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council, among others. He has also been awarded the Housing Assistance Council's Henry B. Gonzales Award for his work to improve low-income housing in rural communities.

He and his wife, Pat, live in Hebron, Kentucky, with their six children.
