Spectral Response Functions and Bandpass Averaged Quantities

The spectral response functions used by the OCDPG to compute bandpass averaged quantities used in data processing are found below, along with a table of the bandpass averaged quantites. The source data include the following:

Thuillier solar spectrum [F₀]
Absorption and scattering coefficients for water [a_w, b_w]
Ozone attenuation coefficients [k_oz]
Rayleigh optical thickness [tau_r]

All source data and response functions were interpolated to 1nm resolution for the wavelength range 380 - 1100nm

Details regarding several issues pertaining to the relative spectral response functions for the MODIS instruments are discussed here.
