Developing a Regional Approach for Integrated Monitoring Related to Energy Exploration and Development

Research Task: 8327CFC.6.0
Task Manager: Natasha Kotliar

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) faces a substantial challenge in developing and implementing monitoring programs that are effective and efficient across multiple spatial and temporal scales. Such programs also must be capable of satisfying multiple institutional and legal requirements associated with environmental compliance and land-use planning. The overall goal of this task is to coordinate with BLM in developing a practical approach to integrated monitoring related to energy development that capitalizes on existing monitoring programs, data, and information.
