The waiver of the credit counseling requirement for bankruptcy filers in the Eastern District of Louisiana will be terminated effective September 16, 2009. To be eligible to file for bankruptcy relief on or after that date in the Eastern District, individuals are required to obtain pre-bankruptcy credit counseling in accordance with 11 U.S.C. § 109(h)(1).
