The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Lebanon Mission Director Denise A. Herbol presented $25,750 to John Johnson, President of the International College, on March 6, 2009.

This amount is part of the $500,000 grant International College received from USAID in 2007-2008.  This money provides scholarship assistance to students and supports infrastructural development.  USAID’s assistance helps 141 students pursue an American style education.

USAID has worked in Lebanon since 1951 and implemented development projects to benefit Lebanese citizens. With funds from the American people, USAID creates jobs, invests in youth and protects the environment.  USAID’s work reflects the strong friendship between the Lebanese and American people.
