Welcome to USAID Brazil's new website! The USAID/Brazil team is working to contribute to a number of mutual U.S. and Brazil development goals and objectives, while strengthening a vital partnership that exists between the people of Brazil and of the United States. The projects we support are planned and implemented side-by-side with the Brazilian government, civil society, and the private sector to ensure sustainability and equitable economic and social development.

USAID programs and activities are contributing to Brazilian efforts to address issues of global concern including the protection of rainforests and natural ecosystems, mitigation of global climate change, and the reduction in the transmission of communicable diseases such a tuberculosis, malaria and HIV/AIDS. The program is also working in tandem with Brazilian partners to increase job market access for disadvantaged youth and foster corporate social responsibility initiatives. The website also features a newsroom that provides updated information on the status of our programs, as well as a link regarding proposal submissions and the selection of partner organizations.
