On the day following Sen. Kennedy's death, his family travels by motorcade from Cape Cod to the JFK library in Boston where he will lie in repose. On Saturday, a funeral mass will be held in Boston and, later in the day, he will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

During today’s open FCC meeting, Chair Julius Genachowski is expected to request an inquiry into marketing and innovation in the wireless industry. Also today, FDIC Chair Sheila Barr holds a press briefing on 2nd quarter '09 earnings in the banking and thrift industry. The FDIC may seek 4th quarter emergency fees as declining bank profits deplete the deposit insurance fund.
