Washington, DC -- "President Bush has chosen to veto funding for our troops in Iraq; funding provided by Congress to make sure our men and women in uniform have the equipment they need; funding provided by Congress because the Bush Administration has refused to step up and pay the bill.

It is tragic that in the four years since the President used an aircraft carrier as a stage prop to announce, "Mission Accomplished," he still cannot admit that this war in Iraq has been one of the greatest geopolitical blunders in the history of the United States.  It is even more tragic that his complete inability to admit his mistake has come at the price of more than 3,300 American lives."
