The Office of External and Intergovernmental Affairs
The Office of External and Intergovernmental Affairs (OEIA) develops constructive relationships with departmental stakeholders. OEIA collaborates with various individuals and groups, including:
- State and Local Elected Officials
- Non-profit Organizations
- Industry Groups
- Federal Agencies
- Government Associations
OEIA's partnerships with these stakeholders serves to carry out the priorities of the Secretary: spurring job growth, promoting renewable energy, preserving treasured landscapes, revitalizing Native American communities, and engaging youth in the outdoors. The office also includes the volunteer initiative, Take Pride in America®, a nationwide partnership program authorized by Congress to promote the appreciation and stewardship of our nation’s public lands.
