Trade capacity building data for fiscal year 2008 has been collected to update the TCB Database. For FY2008, the United States Government reports an annual TCB assistance total of $2.24 billion, which is 59 percent higher than in FY2007. Full details on new FY2008 data and revised FY2007 data, including the amounts in each country and region, are now available on this web site.

United States Trade Capacity Building Assistance

Since 2001, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has conducted an annual survey on behalf of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) to identify and quantify the U.S. Government's trade capacity building activities in developing countries and transitional economies. This web site offers access to the full set of that survey data, covering FY1999–FY2008.

The United States continues to meet the commitments of Doha Development Agenda. U.S. Government Trade Capacity Building assistance to developing countries and transition economies has more than doubled on an annual basis since 2002. Total U.S. Government Trade Capacity Building Assistance in both FY2006 and FY2007 was more than an annual $1.4 billion on a planned obligations basis.
