New: Gridded Flash Flood Guidance (8/17/2009) - Flash flood guidance values for the 1, 3, and 6 hour lengths are now available in a gridded format with values computed on a 4km by 4km grid. Finer scale variations due to terrain, urbanized areas, and uneven rainfall patterns are taken into account. Please take a look.
New: MPE Fact Sheet (7/29/2009) - This file contains some frequently asked questions about multisensor precipitation estimation (MPE).

New Flood Frequency & Climatology Feature (updated 7/8/2009) - A new section has been added to our Flood Frequency/Climatology page. We now have a list of floods by event covering the period 1692-2009. All of the event summaries will ultimately include a summary of the weather conditions that lead up to the flood.
10th Anniversary of Hurricane Floyd - This September marks the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Floyd. A map showing the extent of the flooding can be found on this page, hosted by the NWS Weather Forecast Office, Newport/Morehead City, NC.
Water Resources Outlook Debuts (4/27/2009):The MARFC Water Resources Outlook (WRO) provides past, present and future regional hydrological and meteorological information relevant to river systems located within the MARFC hydrologic service area. MARFC's WRO uses links to various websites as the primary means to provide this information. These links use graphics (visual displays) to convey most of the information, however some text information will also be found. (More details about the WRO can be found on the actual pages.) For the northern MARFC area (NJ, NY, PA), click here. For the southern MARFC area (DC, DE, MD, VA, WV), click here.
