Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Rule Regarding Loan Guarantees for
Projects that Employ Innovative Technologies August 6, 2009
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking public comment on
proposed amendments to its regulations implementing the Loan Guarantee
Program authorized by Section 1703 of Title XVII of the Energy Policy
Act of 2005. Under Section 1703 of Title XVII, the Secretary of Energy
is authorized to make loan guarantees for eligible projects that encourage
the commercial use of new or significantly improved energy technologies

Amendment 1 The due date for the Part I submission on a CD-ROM to be
sent to the Loan Guarantee Program Office ("LGPO") at the address
listed in Attachment F, Section 2, has been amended from no later than
September 14, 2009 to no later than September 16, 2009.
