GOES-12 E/W MANEUVER IS TAKING PLACE CURRENTLY ..NOTE IMAGING GAP
ON
GOES-12 FROM 0430Z-0544Z..MENTIONED BELOW FROM NESDIS.
* Update #2: Due to nearing temperature limits on GOES-12 with a
CONUS
image just prior to Keep-Out-Zone (KOZ) this morning, NESDIS
engineering
reevaluated the CONUS frames planned in the maneuver recovery
schedule.
The following images will not be taken as previously advertised:
0445, 0456, 0515 & 1522
CONUS images. Therefore, there will be an imaging gap on GOES-12
from 0430-0544Z.
See below for Due to the date change of the GOES-12 maneuver to
August 14, the
maneuver recovery period will overlap the first day of Keep Out
Zone/Eclipse season for
GOES-12. This will result in the cancellation of additional
images.
See Post Maneuver Recovery below for details. KOZ/Eclipse details
can be found at:
http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/SATS/eclipse.html **

performed on

the need for continued
GOES-11 (GOES-West) coverage and possible Rapid Scan coverage for
Hawaii. There is no back-up
date for this maneuver.
On Thursday, August 13, the following exclusive schedule will be
employed to support maneuver
operations: (*PLEASE NOTE the scheduled GOES-11 (GOES-West) Full
Disk scan period to support
the primary GOES-12 (GOES-East) outage during the maneuver.*)
GOES-12 (GOES-East) Maneuver Schedule starts at 1905 UTC on
