Filing Instructions

- Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 7.0 and above are required to fill out the Form No. 552. Make sure your have the required version of Adobe Acrobat before attempting to download the form. Download a free version of Adobe Acrobat

- Download and save the Form No. 552
 file to your desktop computer.
- Open the form and fill it out using the General Instructions.
Note for Annual Corporate Certification signature (item 14), just type in the name. Actual signature is not required.
- Save the form periodically to avoid losing your data entries.
- Complete the process by eFiling the completed Form No. 552 PDF file with the Commission.
- If you need to attach more than ten copies of page 3A (Schedule of Reporting Companies and Price Index Reporting) to your eFiling of Form No. 552, please contact Form552@ferc.gov before attempting to file.
- The deadline for filing has been extended to July 1, 2009 for all Form No. 552 filers. See April 14, 2009 Notice .
- Most of the errors associated with eFiling the Form No. 552 occur, because the filer has an older version of the fillable Form No. 552 pdf. Downloading the most current version of the Form No. 552 usually fixes the problem. Read More
- Do not manually sign the Form No. 552. Complete the Signature Block on Page 1, item 14, by simply typing the name of the Corporate Officer in the block. FERC considers this an electronic signature (see 18 CFR 385.2005(c) ).
- All the questions on Page 3 of Form No. 552 in columns b-f must be answered with a Yes or No. Do not leave any blanks. If you answered No in column c please enter Yes in column d. This will allow the eFiling system to accept your completed Form No. 552.
- Filers with an address outside of the U.S. will experience a problem with eFiling. Staff is currently working on a solution and an updated Form No. 552 pdf will be available soon.
- All Form No. 552 filings must be eFiled. There is no provision for emailing or filing a hard copy of the Form No. 552. Sign up for a FERC Online account and complete registration to eFile.
- The eFiling system will only accept the fillable Form No. 552 pdf.
- All problems with eFiling the Form No. 552 should be referred to FERC Online Support at 1-866-208-3676 (Toll Free) 1-202-502-6652 (Local) or ferconlinesupport@ferc.gov.
