You must complete your application in one sitting but there is no limit on the amount of time you can take to complete your application. Please note that your session may not be idle for more than 30 minutes or you will need to start over. As long as you are consistently working your application, your session will not time out. Because of the heightened security requirements of the White House, you will not receive a personalized login to access your application to enter any changes. You should expect the application to take between 15-20 minutes to complete. We strongly advise you to print a copy of the Paper Application so that you may have all of your responses prepared before entering the system. In order to ensure that your resume is included in all possible searches performed by the Presidential Personnel Office on candidate’s information in their database, it is essential for you to include your resume as pasted text. Providing a formatted copy also allows your resume to be easily viewed by those in the Obama-Biden Administration who have expressed interest in learning more about you as a candidate. (Back to Top)

Your application has been received for consideration if you receive a reference number upon final submission of your application. You will also receive a confirmation email that includes your individual reference number shortly after submitting your application.
