Software Requirements: RealPlayer software is required. Free player software is at: http://www.real.com/freeplayer/?rppr=fed. Please test your computer in advance at: http://videocast.nih.gov/browsertest. RealPlayer uses RTSP at port 554 (or PNM over port 7070) for unicasting. These have to be allowed through your firewall to connect to our events. The RealPlayer video size is 320x240. This format works best to stream content over the Internet.

Auditorium Style: The best way to show an NIH videocast to a group in an "auditorium style” would be to lower the computer's screen resolution to its lowest 640x480 or 800x600. To avoid degraded video, do not play in full screen. Double screen works best. The videos will be archived in the Past Event section and the files will be available for download.

Event Registration & Details: Please register for the videocast once if viewing in auditorium style. If watching individually, each individual should register to watch the videocast. Event details and registration are available at: http://era.nih.gov/training/esub_120506/.

Cost: The event is free of charge.

Comments/Questions During the Presentation: Remote viewers can send comments during the live VideoCast by using the Live Event Feedback Form.

Technical Support: For technical support, please contact the NIH Helpdesk at (301) 496-4357, or toll free at (866) 319-4357 or via email at: Technical Support.
