State materials include emergency guides, online databases of public health codes, inter-Governmental mutual aid agreements, current laws and administrative rules, memoranda, Web site listings, manuals, summaries of legal issues, and health initiatives.

The Legal Basis of Public Health—Responsibility and Liability
Module 10 of 10 of CDC’s Legal Basis of Public Health is designed to help public health professionals do what is necessary to protect the public’s health and safety effectively and without unfounded fear of personal legal liability, and carry out professional duties in a manner that will avoid civil or criminal legal problems. The module consists of text and self-study exercises, a self-check review, and group exercises.
