Climate of 2002 - August
Ohio Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 13 September 2002

August marked the third consecutive month with below-normal rainfall, statewide, for Ohio, resulting in the seventh driest July-August and eighth driest summer (June-August). However, this short-term dryness interrupts longer-term wet conditions (see top right graph and table below).
