Delaware Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 13 September 2002

August marked the fourth consecutive month with below-normal precipitation, statewide, giving Delaware the 21st driest summer (June-August) in the 108-year record. Persistent long-term drought resulted in the second driest September-August on record (see table below).
