On November 4, 1996, AT&T Corp. (AT&T) filed a Motion for Extension of Page Limit, and The Local Exchange Carrier Coalition (LECC) filed a Motion for Enlargement of Page Limit (collectively, the Motions). Both Motions request that the Commission waive the page limitation, set forth in section 1.429(g) of the Commission's rules, that applies to replies to oppositions to petitions for reconsideration of the Commission's First Report and Order, released on August 8, 1996. AT&T argues that "the public interest would benefit from a full and complete discussion of the issues" raised in the petitions and oppositions. LECC points out that the Common Carrier Bureau has already increased the 25-page limit for petitions for reconsideration as well as oppositions in this proceeding to 50 pages. Both parties therefore request that the Commission extend the page limit normally governing replies to oppositions to petitions for reconsideration to 20 pages in this instance. 2. We agree with LECC that an increased page limit for replies will ensure that parties have the opportunity to compile a complete record in the Commission's reconsideration of the First Report and Order. We therefore grant the Motions and will extend the page limit applicable to replies to oppositions to petitions for reconsideration of the Commission's First Report and Order to 20 pages. This extension applies to all parties filing replies to oppositions to petitions for reconsideration of the First Report and Order. In response to LECC's request, we also clarify that the page limit established regarding replies to oppositions in this proceeding shall not include any empirical economic studies or relevant state orders included as part of a filing. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that the Motion for Extension of Page Limit of AT&T and the Motion for Enlargement of Page Limit of LECC are hereby GRANTED and the limit applicable to all parties filing replies to oppositions to petitions for reconsideration of the Commission's First Report and Order is hereby extended to 20 pages.
